Canada’s Magenta Foundation (Magenta Publishing for the Arts) has announced the list of winners for Flash Forward 2007 – an exhibition and a book of emerging photographers from US, Canada and UK.
I am very excited to be recognized as one of the 25 winning photographers from United States. The exhibition and book release are scheduled for early October at Lennox Contemporary In Toronto.
The Griffin Museum of Photography announced a list of the artists selected for the 13th Annual Griffin Juried Show by juror Brian Clamp of ClampArt, New York. I am honored for The Griffin Award.
The artists included in the list are also my good friend Amy Stein who won a two-person show, my HHS fellow Joseph Holmes, my SVA mate Dina Kantor, a Review Santa Fe ‘06 fellow Gregory Scott, and Shanghai-based photographer Daniel Traub. I think this is going to be a very interesting show.
The exhibition will be run from August 23 through October 28, 2007 at the The Griffin Museum of Photography, 67 Shore Road

My on-going documentary series Concubines of New York has won a spot on the PDN Annual 2007, in the Personal Work category. The work is published in the May issue of the PDN Magazine.

Conscientious has named me as one of the three Photographers of the Year 2006. I am extremely flattered. The other two photographers of the year are Amy Elkins and Richard Renaldi, I personally admire their work tremendously as well.
Joerg Colberg, the man behind Conscientious, has been honored as American Photo Magazine’s 2006 Innovators for Top Photography Blogs, his blog has been described as “one of the most reliable and contemporary windows into the creative side of photography”. Beloved Jen Bekman is also honored as 2006 innovators for gallery.
American Photo Magazine's Jan/Feb issue is the Images of the Year 2007 issue. I am Honorable Mention-ed in Person Work category.

The Center on Contemporary Art at Seattle announced a list of 16 artists for The 2006 COCA Annual, curated by Jennifer Gately from The Portland Art Museum. I am fortunately to be included on the list.
